As we all know very well indigo is a color. or dye derived from indigo plants. Though initially used to dye clothes, the functions of indigo have come a long way now. Indigo is now being used, not only on clothes but other items too like home decor, kitchen, and bath accessories, etc. We, at Exclusive Lane, decided to pair this unique color with a pattern commonly known as “chevrons”. Chevron is quite an ancient pattern that is characterized by a zig-zag pattern. The pattern is geometric and is in the shape of an inverted “V”. The origin of this intricate design or pattern dates back to Greece in 1800 BC where it was a popular pattern and was used almost everywhere. Over time, this pattern gained much favor from the Indian culture as well. You can generally the beautiful Chevron pattern in the exemplary examples of the attires of tribals, in the renowned Udaipur palace in Rajasthan, and the arrows used by the Baiga and Gond tribes. Hence the extremely skilled artisans of our country understood and replicated the essence of this beautiful pattern. We, at ExclusiveLane, thus brought in a whole new collection of various items bearing Indigo chevrons.
